Community Service

The Milonee Executive Committee  is reaching out to various organizations for engaging in community & voluntary services. Community services do provide us the opportunity (and satisfaction) to give back to the society.

Milonee’s partnership with Unite2Uplift extends help to support some of the immigrant families from Afghanistan and Ukraine who are on SVP and other humanitarian visas. Through our outreach efforts, we have provided much needed supplies to families and single girls who are trying to find their footing in a new  country. The supplies (which were solely donated by the Milonee 2023 executive committee) provided,  helped them in finding foundational stability in basic food and necessities so that they can focus on employment, education,  and other important things. Our first initiative was to help 1 Afghan family with 4 small children.  Secondly, we provided supplies and talked to two young single girls who were uprooted from their motherland and trying to survive in a foreign country. We  not only provided them with basic supplies, but spent time with them to provide some mentorship and guidance. As the words are spreading, we are receiving more requests to help.

Milonee volunteers at The Peanut Butter Plan on December 11, 2016

Winter holiday season means snuggling up near the fireplace with a favorite book and a hot cup of coffee or meeting up with friends and family for a delicious dinner. However, not everyone is as lucky as you and me. Winter is a difficult time for the homeless as they battle the severe cold. To aid these individuals, Milonee members joined the Peanut Butter Plan in Denver today to make around 600 peanut butter & jelly sandwiches and deliver it to the homeless across the mile high city.
