Milonee 2015 Events

We want to thank you all for attending Saraswati Puja and making it a grand success! The weather cooperated with us. As a result we had a record attendance this year. We could not have done it without your support and help. So thank you to all our volunteers for coming forward and helping us. We are very happy to have you by our side as we embark on our year long journey. We had a very successful Coat Drive during Saraswati Puja. All the items received have been donated to the Denver Rescue Mission. Thanks to our teen volunteers who have helped us with this initiative.

We are also happy to inform that Khushboo (Madhuri Sarees Denver) will be there with a stall displaying her exquisite collection of sarees, readymade blouses, anarkalis, lehengas and jewelries. All purchases needs to be paid in cash or using credit card.

Every year Durga Puja brings back memories from our Motherland - Bengal. The floating clouds, kashphul, the sound of dhaak, the smell of dhuno and shiuli are all familiar sounds and smells that we Bangalis associate with Durga Pujo. Milonee is also getting ready for its biggest celebration. This year we have three artists from Kolkata who are coming to Colorado to perform during Durga Puja - Kinjal,  Bhoomi  and  Lakhan Das Baul. Please come and join us to celebrate this festival and make it a grand success.

 

For the first time ever in the US, Bhoomi O Baul presents "Tomaye Hridmajhare Rakhibo". A Folk fest where each song unfolds with a story of its own. From ever popular Bhoomi songs to Lakhan Das Baul's soulful renditions, the melodies of the 'soil' and 'soul' will help all connect with their roots & make the evening a memorable one!

Kinjal Chattopadhyay is counted among the most promising voices in the Bengali musical scene today and is one of the most sought after stage performer and an upcoming playback singer. He was one of the most popular artist during this year’s NABC in Houston as well. Kinjal is proficient in many genres of music ranging from classical to light to Tollywoood and Bollywood numbers! Amongst his numerous achievements, the most prominent one is probably when Kinjal was judged the runners-up in 2013 edition of SaReGaMaPa Bangla. Kinjal Chattopadhyay is going to take you through a musical journey that will make this year's Durga Puja an event to remember!
